DeSales got the ball Hrst and scored a touchdown, but failed to score the point-after. With the pressure on, the Dragon offense came alive, and when the smoke had cleared, Doss had scored the touchdown and the extra point to win this important and exciting game. A somewhat easier stretch of the schedule came to an abrupt end when the Dragons went up against a strong Western High Warrior club. Western prevailed 6-0 in a loss that both disappointed Doss and clouded the play-off picture. The Dragons bounced back, winning their next two games, to go into the regular season Hnale against the powerful Southern Trojans. Having already wrapped up a play-off berth, Doss was then lighting for the District Championship. lt wasn 't meant to be, though and the end of a long and grueling game had Southern emerging as the winner. Entering the play-offs as District Runners-up, the lirst, and unfortunately last Doss opponent, the Saint Xavier Tigers proved too strong as the Dragons' last game-tying Held-goal attempt failed, final score: St. X ll, Doss 8. All in all the Dragons once again proved they were an opponent to be feared, gave their fans an exciting season highlighted by a second straight trip to the turf and chalked up Doss Highs ninth straight non-losing season. Congratulations to the team, Coach Bocko, and his staff

The Dragons lost only two games the whole season, those com- ing to Hne football teams, the Desales Colts, and PRP. In the beginning of the season the Dragons opened up with the Desales Colts, they played a good game, but the Colts were just too good a team for our Dragons, we lost 0-14, the other loss coming from PRP 13-6. This seasons coaches were Bill Dalrymple, William Per- kins, and Steve Wilson. Most did the Hnest job they knew how. The Dragons ended up with a 7-2 season, one of the best seasons for the junior varsity in Doss' history. So heres to a good job, J. Vs. I wi , a .,.,.., wr M 'QF' ,Q-. -WN 5.
