Teaching English and U.S. History, Phil also is Head Basketball Coach for the girls team. He enjoys softball, bike riding and adding to his record collection in his spare time. MRS. JEANETTE M, ROEDERER is a Lunchroom Assistant who is married and has three daughters and one son as well as nine grandchildren. Jeanette has been at Doss for sixteen years and has twenty-tive years with the system. Librarian BRENDA SHEELEY has been at Doss for twelve of her thirteen years in education. Both her bachelors and masters degrees are from UK. Brenda deals mainly with the print portion of the library on a day-to-day basis. Industrial Arts teacher DAN SHEPARD earned his bachelors at Murray State and his masters from Western Kentucky. Dan serves as Doss Athletic Director as well, Serving as Night Custodian is Mrs. Lynn Shields. Lynn has seven years experience with the system and four at Doss. She is married with two step-children aged I8 and 20. ln her leisure hours, she enjoys horseback riding. W. G. SHUMA TE teaches Physics, Pre-Calculus, and Using Math. Married ten years and the father of one daughter lAmyj, he has taught at Doss for lifteen yqzrs. Gerald enjoys meterology as an outside interest. MRS. LUCILLE SIMPSON is a Lunchroom Assistant and Cashier who has worked at Doss for Hfteen years. Married and the mother of four children, Lucille's son, Larry, is a l972 Doss graduate. Lunchroom Assistant and Cashier MRS. SHIRLEY SINGLETON is married and the mother of one daughter. Shirley has worked at Doss for sixteen years. LINDA SIPES is a graduate of Southern High, UK, and Western Kentucky. Linda teaches Omce Machines and Co-Op. She has been at Doss all thirteen years of her teaching career, Teaching in the Exceptional Education Department is HARRIET A. SIZEMORE. She has Hfteen years teaching experience and is the mother of three children, all married. Harriet's hobbies include sewing, cake decorating, and crafts. RAY SIZEMORE is Chairman and a member of the Industrial Arts Department where he teaches Wood Shop classes at the freshman and sophomore levels, He has taught at Doss sixteen years of his twenty-Hve. Teaching General Science and Advanced Physical Science is MRS. CHER YL SLA UGHTER. Cheryl has been married six years and has two children. This is her Hrst year at Doss, Simpson, Singleton, Sipes, H. O'Bryan, lliges, Ison, Patterson, Perkins, Pierce JACKIE O'BR YAN graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, the University of Cincinnati, and U of L. Jackie teaches English and Latin in addition to sponsoring the Latin Club. She enjoys golf tennis, and needlecraft in her spare time. Teaching Business Law, Retailing I and II, and M.t4'zD.E. Co-op is RAY OLLIGES. Ray has taught twenty-three years in all and thirteen at Doss. He has been married twenty-Hve years and has five children. Student records, counselors' correspondence, senior transcripts, and scholarship letters are among the responsibilities of SHIRLEY OLSON in her position of Records ClerkfCounselors Secretary. Shirley, who is an avid sports fan, is in attendance at many Doss games. She also enjoys weekends at the lake with her family. JANE PATTERSON teaches Fundamental Math and Algebra I and is a Freshman Class Sponsor. She has fifteen years of teaching experience, three of these at Doss. Jane, who also has a degree in Psychology, is a graduate of Kentucky Southern College and Western Kentucky University. English teacher C. PERKINS has ten years experience in Jefferson County and is in his second year at Doss. He manages the bookstore and is an Assistant Football Coach. He and his wife Carol have two children. Teaching Algebra I, Geometry, and l0th grade Math is RANDALL H. PIERCE who has nineteen years experience in teaching and has been at Doss for twelve years. Randall earned both his bachelors and masters in Eastern Ky. He is a realtor and broker in his spare time. In her fourth year of' employment with the system and at Doss is MRS. ELIZABETH POOLE. Elizabeth is married and has four daughters and three grandsons. Her position is Lunchroom Assistant. DON POPE teaches Physical Science and Biology. This is his second year at Doss and his thirteenth with the Jefferson County Schools. Don enjoys sports and is a former head football coach. He is a graduate of Ball State. Librarian HILDA QUISENBERRY is in charge ofthe Media Center. She works primarily with the audio-visual center. A Junior Class sponsor, reading and golHng are among her favorite activities. In her first year at Doss is MRS. JACKIE RA YMER serving as Lunchroom Manager. Jackie brings seventeen years of system experience to her position having been a Lunchroom Manager in a middle school previously. Married with one daughter, she also has two grandsons. MR. JOHN RHODES takes a special interest in students assigned to Time-Out. He keeps a tile on each student and works with them to solve their problems. A graduate of Tennessee State University, he holds Special Education Certification from U of L. Shorthand I and ll and Business Communications are taught by FRANCES H. RITTER. She has fourteen years experience in teaching, all at Doss. Travelling, camping, and hiking are among her favorite activities. Frances sponsors the FBLA. 100 . Smain, S teiden, Teaching live classes of freshman Citizenship is ELANORE SMAIN. Elanore has taught at Doss three of her twenty-live years in education. A sponsor of the Sophomore Class, she is a pet lover, especially dogs. EDNA STEIDEN is the ESSA Basic Coordinator for Doss. She works with students to improve attendance and reduce suspensions in a variety of techniques including home visitations. Much of Edna 's spare time is taken up with volunteer activities such as PTA and the March of Dimes. DORIS J. STILES teaches Home Economics. She has nineteen years in education with fourteen here at Doss. A graduate of Western Kentucky, Doris also holds Rank I certification from Western. She sponsors I'fH.A, and is a Senior Class sponsor. GAIL TAYLOR works with Doss choral activities. A graduate of both Kentucky State and Indiana University, she is the sponsor of the successful Pepsi Singers. Among her leisure interests are bowling and traveling. Band Director and instructor MARK TEMPLE is in his second year in education with Jefferson County. He spends half of each day at Stuart Middle. Mark also teaches a Drama class and worked as Director of the school play, PIPPIN ANNA IBETTYQ THOMAS is the Order- Receiving-Inventory Clerk for Doss. Betty has worked at Doss since its opening. She has been married thirty-four years and has three daughters and two grandchildren. Teaching in the Exceptional Education Department and serving as Departmental Chairman is JOHN TURACK. John is a graduate of both Indiana University and U of L. He is married and has twelve years experience, all at Doss. Attendance Clerk ELLEN M. VANOVER has six years total experience and two here at Doss. Ellen works with all homeroom attendance statistics. She has three children. JAMES WHALIN teaches both Anatomy and Science. This is his eighteenth year in education and his fifteenth at Doss. He is a graduate of Valley High and earned bachelors and Masters degrees from Western Kentucky In his third year at Doss is WILLIAM WHITE who teaches General Math and the Alternative Program. Bill is the Coach for the Boys Varsity Track team. He is a graduate of Manual High, the University ol' Arkansas, and Indiana U MRS. CYNTHIA WOOSLE Y is a Senior Class Sponsor and the sponsor for the Varsity Cheerleaders. She has taught at Doss twelve years and her schedule this year includes Algebra I and II as well as Calculus. BETTY YOUNG has twenty-eight years teaching experience including sixteen at Doss. Married thirty-one years, she has three daughters and two grandchildren.
