TO MR. BOURNE Mr. Bourne, the respected principal of Dos Palos High School, has been loved and admired by students of our school for thirty-six years. But we, the Sen- iors of 1960, feel perhaps a little closer relationship to him because as the usually crowded and noisy halls will be left forever by the members of our class, they will also be left by Mr. Bourne at the same time. Perhaps, he, like every one of us, will miss the activity-filled life of our school and the wonderful friends we have made in it. On behalf of the 2,432 graduates of Dos Palos High School who have been privileged to be under his administration, the Class of 1960 express our deepest and sincerest gratitude for the inspiration, advice, and under- standing you have untiredly meted to us, the future citizens of tomorrow. We, Americans, proudly boast of our free education. The men elected to this office must be courageous, depend- able, and trustworthy. The highest standards of education, as well as many other school functions, lie in the hands of these few men. The Board of Trustees deal with all problems confronting our school.
