2 .fl - 1 ,iv f ng., '11 ' v Gil- The Dating and Newlywed Games Gave Lively Fun A new event this year was the Dating and Newlywed Games, Conducted ina similar way to the television games. They were held Friday eve- ning, September 27, with Gerry Ebbers as emcee. Many came to hear an active dia- logue and much humor pass between the demands and questions asked the eligible dates and their responses. Questions such as What kind of fruit does your wife re- mind you of? were answered by four newlywed couples at- tending Dordt. Much activity and excite- ment was present in Dordt's student body the days of Feb- ruary 11 through 15. The rea- son was that it was Twirp Week. Now was the time for the girls to do the asking out and the paying on dates. The week finished with the Penny Car- nival on Saturday night. Many booths and activities were set up for everyone to visit. The final activity of the night was Kangaroo Court, having such punishments as feeding some- one with a baby bottle or having your hair washed. 93
