Harr Fern out Won Student President Elections Three juniors, Harry Fern- hout, Thane De Stigter, and jack Van Vliet ran for Student Council president. At the con- vention held Tuesday, April 29, the three candidates pre- sented their views. The next Thursday was election day, and the student body voted Harry Fernhout from Port Arthur, Ontario, as 69-70 presi- dent. Harry hopes to make next year's student council function meaningfully, accord- ing to its constitution. They were appointed by the Stu- dent Council to plan all social activities. Some of the activities they sponsored were films lectures, Twirp Week, and Charity Nights. Y C .... .Q orth Hall Staged Ringo and julie DORM COUNCIL: lenine Prins, Kay Duck- ett, Kathy Van Gilst, Betty Vreeman, President Clarene Van Zanten, Tena Siebenga, Marlene Folkerts. A girl from each wing in the dorm was chosen to serve on this council. They were responsible for such things as redecorating the basement, organizing parties, and con- ducting wing devotions. To raise money for redecorating the North Hall basement, the girls in North Hall pre- sented a talent night November 19.
