This year the English Depart- ment combined the Freshmen English course and the speech course to form a communica- tion skills course. Four drama courses have been approved. Two of them will begin next year. They are Theory of Drama and Play Selection and Play Writing and Play Production . The other two courses will be intro- duced in the 1970-71 school year. Dr. Rozeboom and Mr. De long attended a conference in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Coming off the press this spring, Mr. De Iong's book on the nature of Christian education was required reading in his principles of education class. Dr. Veltkamp accepted a summer teaching assignment at Western Michigan University.
