The Christians in Action began and operated Tomorrow's Book Club, selling books to its members and other students. They also did a study on entertainment and a study on war and its problems. The president of CIA was Bob Vander Plaats, Don Sin- nema was vice-president, and john Van Dyk was the faculty sponsor. Dr. Bandstra Speaks to Pre-Sems Dr. Bandstra, Dean of Students and associate Professor of New Testament at Calvin Seminary, interviewed the prospective seminarians on February 20 and 21. Leslie Kuiper was presi- dent of the Pre-Seminarian Club, and Rev. I. Vander Stelt was the faculty sponsor. I8 The purpose of the Mission Club was to instill interest in missionary activity and to promote such activities in its members in the future.Meet- ings were held every three weeks. It was the largest club on campus with approximately 140 members. They partici- pated in services at the Sioux City Gospel Mission, attended and took charge of services at the Sioux Falls Penitentiary, and helped in the Vermillion Church. David Smit was president, and Dr. Kistemaker was the faculty adviser.

Rev. Piersma Spoke on Morality Rev. john Piersma, pastor of the Bethany Christian Re- formed Church in South Hol- land, Illinois, was the guest speaker in the series Focus on Morality. His topics for addresses were How to be Good though Moral, How to be Happy though Moral, and How to be Christian though Moral. The problem of morality was further dis- cussed by a panel composed of Rev. Piersma, Rev. Taylor, Rev. Hulst, and Mr. Crroten- huis. This series of events was sponsored by the Spiritual Ac- tivities Committee during April15,16,and17. ,ww -3-:ns
