Forming this year, the Art Club gained approximately 25 members. Dave Vander Mo- len was the president with Mr. Don Morton as the faculty sponsor. Meeting on Wednes- day evenings, the club studied pastels, watercolors, sketching, ceramics, claywork, photog- raphy coloring, and acrylics. Much of their artwork such as the name mural, the apple- crate wall, and the decorations at Christmas were displayed inthe Commons. The purpose was to observe how government operates on the state level and to promote po- litical activism within a framework. II5
