Forming this year, the Art Club gained approximately 25 members. Dave Vander Mo- len was the president with Mr. Don Morton as the faculty sponsor. Meeting on Wednes- day evenings, the club studied pastels, watercolors, sketching, ceramics, claywork, photog- raphy coloring, and acrylics. Much of their artwork such as the name mural, the apple- crate wall, and the decorations at Christmas were displayed inthe Commons. STANDING- Harold Van Stryland, Paul Moos, Del Crroen, Rog Vos, Harvey Schreur, Ken Stam, Berwyn Stoel, Political Science Club Visited Iowa Legislature On April 17, the Political Science Club spent the day in Des Moines, attending Iowa's legislature. The purpose was to observe how government operates on the state level and to promote po- litical activism within a framework. II5

Dr. Alberda, faculty sponsor, lectured on the philosophy of math. The president of the club was lim Krosschell. Seven joined Radio Club Members of the Radio Club were Phil Vande Voort, Larry Van Arendonk, Steve Phillips, Harvey Schreur, Wayne Kobes, Gary De Young, Larry Vande Griend.
