Old and New Friends Meet During First Week of School ' September brought many new peo- ple to the campus of Dordt, some familiar and some unfamiliar faces. Orientation week gave individuals the opportunity to become better ac- quainted. Dorm living, activities such as scavenger hunts, and orientation sessions aided in this. Also pictures, as in the upper left picture, were taken for a Student Directory. ll One night of orientation week was designated as Club Fair night. Each club set up 8 booth to introduce itself, ,eX- plain its membership qualifica- tions, and display its materials and activities. Several clubS added new members, and interest was aroused in starting a few new clubs. The school year from September, 1969 to May,1970. This year was made up of people: people learning, people teaching, people working, people living, people loving, people hating. All these people are separate people, indi- viduals. They are separate, yet one. They are One because they serve and love the same One and Only C-od. They are one because their purpose for being at Dordt College is to learn. They learn from books, from fac- ulty members, from each other, from them- selves, and from the community. Thank you to the Signet Staff for your help, thank you to Dr. Bodnar, the professional photographer, and thank you to the Student Council for the additional finances. ludi Blankespoor Editor ,ir is ,N ,4,.f ,Mr Ma-5.3.1 ' .
