SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Upperclassmen found 29 bashful Freshmen enrolling at Dorchester High School for the term of 56-57 We were initiated by the Sophomores and gave them a return party. Our class advisor was Mrs, Hemphill, At our firbt class meeting we elected our class officers as follows; Pres- ident, Barbara Schiferl; Vice President, Steve Mertens; Seeretary,Jan- ice Hennlich; Treasurer, Rodney Hawks, At the beginning of the 57-58 term our class has lost two of its mem- bers which gave it a total of 27. Officers for this year were: Pres- ident, Pauline Ramminger; Vice President, Sharon PlockelmanjSecretary, Marlene Pecher and Treasurer, Claudette Decker. Our Student Council members are Steve Mertens and Barbara Schiferl.Our Class advisors were Mr. Weidner and Mr. Gorr, In the fall of 1958, 27 Juniors started school. We elected officers with Steve Mertens, President; Elaine Miller, Vice President, Phil Hollmann, Secretary; Loretta Ludwig, Treasurer. Our Student Council members were Deanna Younker and Albert Schultz. Mrs. Gorke and Mr.Gorr were our class advisors. On December 7, we presented a three act mystery-comedy entitled Aunt Cathie's Cat . We put out a newspaper called the Junior Clarion . On February 7» we sponsored a dance. Music was provided by mil and his band. On April 2i|, 1959, we presented our Prom. Music was provided by Danny Stauss. The hall was decorated to the theme of Sayonara . Our King and Queen were Steve Mertens and Pauline Ramminger. Sharon Plockelraan and Albert Schultz were selected to represent our school at Badger Girl's State and Badger Boy's State. We came back in our Senior year with 21; members.. We elected Phil Holl- mann, President; Albert Schultz, Vice President; Sharon Plockelman, Secretary; Judy Beisner, Treasurer. Student Council members were Donna Schrader and Steve Mertens. Our class advisors were Mr. Zier and Mr. Cook. At the end of our first semester we lost one member. On May 18, I960 twenty-three seniors deceived their diplomas. The Valedictorian was Barbara Schiferl, Salutatorian was David Sochan, the DAR Award vas received by Sharon Plockelman.. MEMORIES
