Everything was new and different but friendly teachers and students soon made us feel at home. We were officially greeted by the sophomores on initiation day. At our first class meet- ing we elected the following officers: President, James Schiferl; Vice President, Janis Zier; Secretary, Mary Jane Hollman; Treasurer, Eileen Neidhold; student council representative, Joanne Bochanyin. We chose Mr. Mosbaek as our advisor. The year was wound up with a school picnic at Marathon Park in 'Wausau. We returned as sophomores with four less members. This year we had the fun of initiating the new freshmen. We held a class meeting and elected officers for the year: President, Joanne Bochanyin; Vice President, David Geiger; Secretary, Judy Jantsch; Treasurer, Jerry Ludwig. Mr. Mosbaek again was our advisor. Throughout the year we sponsored several cookie and candy sales, all of which were successful. We ended the school year with a picnic with the juniors at Cherokee Park. Our junior year was begun with sixteen members. We elected class officers: President, David Geiger; Vice President, Bernard Klabunde; Secretary, Eileen Neidhold; Treasurer, Carol Seidel. Wfe chose Mr. Son- salla as our advisor. The juniors and seniors joined forces and under the direction of Mrs. Sorenson put on a play Boardinghouse Reach on November 12, 1954. We again sponsored several bake sales which helped a great deal in paying for our Prom, which was on April 22, 1955 We selected Japanese Sandman as our theme song, and Benny Graham fur- nished the music. David Geiger and Joanne Bochanyin reigned as king and queen. We climaxed the year with a class picnic at Mondeaux Dam. We resumed school activities as seniors with seventeen class mem- bers. We elected class officers: President, Delilah Springer; Vice President, Bernard Klabunde; Secretary, Joanne Bochanyin; Treasurer, Judy Jantsch. Mr. Sonsalla again was our advisor. The whole class went to Medford on September 12 to have senior pictures taken by Mr. Doyle. The juniors and seniors, under the direction of Mrs. Werner, gave a combined class play One Wild Night on November 18, 1955. As a good result of four years of studying James Schiferl merited the honor of valedictorian and Delilah Springer that of salutatorian. Delilah was also chosen by the faculty to receive the D. A. R. award. We chose The Higher we Climb the Broader the View as our motto with the yellow rose as our flower. Class colors were blue and silver. On May 17, 1956, seventeen sober seniors in blue caps and gowns received their long-awaited diplomas. Ladies and gents, in this prophecy we vow. To give you a picture of us ten years from now. We hope that you will enjoy our skit. As much as we have writing it. Joanne Bochanyin is a mudel in a store. She models clothes for Chiestian Dior. Her picture appeared on the cover of Post  Everyone thinks she is the most David Geiger is a farmer now. He's right at home when milking a cow. But he said in town he'd rather live. For he'8 president of the Co-operative. Robert (Andy) Gumz does push-ups daily. He is a muscle man for Barnum and Bailey. In school his muscles didn't phase us. But now they really do amaze us. Mary Jane Hollman is in a foreign land. Making real good money with her Hawiian Band. If she returns to our land some day. She is sure to give competition to Sam. iy Kaye. Judy Jantsoh is a R. N. now. To cheer up the patients was her vow. She gives them medicine, vitamins and pills. And then consoles them when they get their bills. Bernard Klabunde; can you beat that Is now our African diplomat. He tried to talk peace to the natives there. And twice they almost took his hairJ Jim Lapp ran into luck. He's president of Sears Robuck. But at last his customers got wise. They found out he sold inferior merchandise Jerry Ludwig is in the Army now. He's on K. P. duty making the chow. When he gets out and starts married life. He'll be able to cook for his darling wife Marlene Ludwig is out in Montana, Wearing western jeans and a red bandana. She went out to work for a government branch. But now she has a cowboy and a great big ranch Eileen Neidhold is married by heck. But her husband is still scrubbing the deck. And when he passes through the Navy door. She'll have him scrubbing her kitchen floor. Mary Stelzel is in a trance. On a quiz show she won a trip to France. All transportation and expenses free. She's having quite a fling in gay Paree Dick Schattl is that notorious name. Through crooked gambling he gained his fame. He told the cops he didn't do a thing— Now he's serving time in old Sing-Sing I Jim Schiferl now is an engineer. Making real good money we hear. He is a teacher in a college. Spreading about his great knowledge. SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY, CONT Carol Seidel Is a farmers wife. She said she reslly enjoyes the life. Wearing old overalls and old straw hat$, She has a whole colony of dogs and cats. Delilah Springer went real far. Singing, yodeling, and playing her guitar. She makes real good money we all know. For she now has her own television show. Gloria Vanderhoof is repairing faces. She is a beautician anu going places. She has her own shop, that is real nice. Where she removes srinkles and womens lice, Janis Zier, with her lovely voice. Is now the disk jokey's No. 1 choice. She sings in night clubs and makes records too. She said television Is her next to do. Now if your prophecy does not come true. We will be even more embarrassed than you. And wo ask you not to take it serious. For if you do, you may become furious. JAMES SCHIFERL VALEDICTORIAN DELILAH SPRINGER SALUTATORIAN D. A. R. EILEEN NEIDHOLD BETTY CROCKER AWARD April 22, 1955 was tha data chosen for our Junior Prom.
