CLASS WILL We, the Class of '49 of the Dorchester High School, of the County of Clark, and of the State of Wisconsin, being of sound mind and body, after four strenuous years, do hereby make, publish, and declare this as our last and best will and testament; hereby revoking all former wills, bequests, and devices of whatever nature or form heretofore made by us. We, the Seniors, will to the faculty a bit of advice: If teachers would only listen they would learn alot. To the Juniors, we extend the right to accept or decline all carved and battered desks, and our battered Senior dignity. To the Sophomores, our desire to further our general knowledge by taking days off from school to go places and see things. To the Freshmen, we bequeath our ability to win the Inter-Class Basketball Tournament for the next 3 years. To whom it may concern, we, the Seniors leave: I, Marvin Busse, will lend my nickname to anyone who will live up to it. I, Audrey Brunner, will to the Juniors all the hard earned knowledge I've gained during the past four years. I, Rose Drinka, bequeath my arguing and spelling ability to Jean Miller. I, John Grinker, will my manly walk to Gwen Sebold. I, James Herman, will my love for English and school to Bill Jantsch. I, Dan Kramer, will all right to my sunny disposition and smile to Donald Seidel. I, Charlene Lapp bequeath my ability to day dream to Virginia Gall. I, Roland Larson, will my red eyebrows to Marian Miller. I, Merlin Ludwig, bequeath to a few Sophomores who could use it, my hard earned knowledge of the workings of Algebra problems. I, Roger Malchow, will my ability to talk without making noise to Elaine Broeske. I, Henry Mertens, will my lucky hook shot to Bryce Hinke. 16

Billy and her friends, Push Pringle, Bird Brain, and Punk, are typical teenagers who find that every once in awhile they appreciate a respite from their parents. Everything gets off to a big start when Charley Craig, the handsome new boarder in the Weber home, admires Billies sketches for greeting cards and suggests that they take samples to the county seat to obtain a license so that she can sell them. Punk, the jealous boy friend, sees Billie and Charley driving away from the Weber home with an overnight case—a wedding cake is delivered to the home by mistake---Billie leaves a note telling her parents that they will be surprised when she and Charley return---and so naturally everyone in the town believes they have eloped! The excitement and tension of waiting with flowers and rice for the return of the happy couple, added to the humor of Punk, the anxiety of mother, and a sub-rosa romance between Aunt Mabel and Professor Dodenhoff makes the play end with a flourish On April 22, under the direction of Mr. Schwierske, the seniors presented a well received performance of their class play, Out On A Limb. 1 , - J
