SENIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 7, 1934 thirty green inex- perienced Freshmen enrolled in the Dorchester ■iigh School. -t the end of four years we find that only twelve have survived the ordeal. Our freshman year slipped by with nothing out of the ordinary happening, as did our Sophomore. On I .ay 28, 1937 wo as Juniors honored the Senior class at the promenade. From king, Donald Schreiber selected Gertrude Scidmore as his queen. The events of our Senior .ear followed each other in rapid succession. In November we presented the coma, y sketch ’’Professor Schni .erschmultze' s Pupils,” ac: a feature of the ligh School Carnival. Donald Schreiber and Lorraine Schumacher were voted king and queen of the popularity conte t, another feature of the carnival. In January we established the photo- g.aihy club under the direction of fir. UcVey, Principal. We as a class, with the help of ..iss Uaxine Liason, class advisor, and Ur. LcVey edited the Dorhian, which was named by Iillian r.llar, a member of our group. .--t the class tournament the Seniors kept in the lead until the last night. The boys took first places in basketball, chinning, tug-o-w-r, standing broad junn and the running relay race. A novelty feature of the tourney was a Senior Class 3and composed of ten members of our class, some of which had never be ore played a musical instrument.
