AUGUST The fifteenth of August was the day the Freshmen and Sophomores signed the roll, Registering of Juniors and Seniors was August l6th's goal. First came the Freshmen, totaling fifty-one, Looking forward to a year full of mischief and fun. Next came the Sophomores with the biggest class of all, Their sixty-two members were crowded in the hall, Then came the Juniors with fifty-three in number, Who, by this time, have learned they cannot slumber, Last, but not least, the great and mighty Seniors appear, With all forty-four members hoping to make this their greatest year. With the student enrollment of two hundred and nine, To make this school year great was the dream of Mr. Crumrine. With the addition of Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. Sanders, Mr. Swikle, Mr. Hancock, W Mr. Dyduch, Mr. Vaughan, and secretary, Mrs. Faupel, Donovan High School's faculty is complete, And the goals they set, all will strive to meet. SEPTEMBER .-.-ACI' 93 'eu Q- ,, OCTOBER It's October and the students have welcomed fall, For it will bring a month full of activities for all. To choose the style and color of the annual, the DONGVO staff did meet. Their main desire is that all deadlines they will strive to beat. The Sophomore class sweatshirt sales advanced to a great start, 'Because they all wanted to make a profit, each did his part. With the end of the first six weeks, report cards were mailed, Many students had received good grades but a few had failed. The Junior play cast was chosen and practices did start, Miss Carlson is hoping that each will learn his part. The Freshman class sponsored a Hobo Day, That it was a success they are happy to say. Giving a dollar to buy an ad, the patrons all consented, For with their help and the staff, the first Donogram was presented. The Senior class met to choose the color of their caps and gowns. All members are awaiting the day when the last bell sounds. The F, H,A, girls had a bake sale which was a great success, With the contributions of the members, they did their best. 96 September was a month full of many pleasant thingsg The baseball team's great victories, the Juniors long-awaited rings. Each class met using Parliamentary Procedure, The purpose of the meeting was to elect their leader. Larry, Kris, Kay, and Laura were chosen to rule, In hopes they would try to make this the greatest school. Magazine subscriptions the Junior class did sell, And when they were completed, they found they had -done quite well. Sheldon met with our great baseball team. And they lost 8 to 6, on September 15. Second in Conference is what the Donovan Wildcats won, Everyone is proud of what our team has done. To the Farm Progress Show the F.F. A. boys did go, They trudged through the mud to learn things they did not know. The F. H. A. girls sponsored a record hopg With the profit they made, they came out on top.
