9 1 With an enrollment of forty-seven members, the Class of '68 began their high- school career with Mr. Linard Kessinger as our sponsor. Leading us were Harold Loy, Presidentg Louisa Schultz, Vice-Presidentg Ilean Tunks, Secretary, Gay Hertz, Trea- surer, Wanda Bossong, Reporter-Historian, Corky Askew, Photographerg Vicki Stephen- son and Bill Boudreau, Student Council members. The following year we gained three new members: Cindy Cordes, George Gernon, and Zula Lawson. Selling sweatshirts was our major money-making project. Louisa Schultz led our class as President backed up by Cheryl Wendel as Vice-President, Cindy Cordes as Sfcretary, Dave Whitson as Treasurer, and Paul Carlson as Photographer Terry Gerber and Bonnie Langellier represented us on the Student Council. Our Junior year began with the arrival oi class rings. Harold Loy returned to lead our class with Linda Merhley as Vice-President, Gay Hertz as Secretary, Wanda Bos- song as Treasurer, Marsha Preisser as Reporter-Historian, and Barb Arseneau as Photo- grapher. Terry Gerber and Bonnie Langellier again represented us on the Student Council. The Junior Play Professor, How Could You! , was a great success. Shangri- La highlighted the year with beautiful decorations, soft lights, and dreamy music. Our Senior year commenced with the election of officer. Those elected were Larry Frye, President, Harold Loy, Vice-Presidentg Louisa Schultz, Secretaryg Cindy Cordes, Treasurerg Barb Arseneau, Reporter-Historian, Bonnie Langellier and Terry Gerber, Student Council members. Emily Nelson joined our class from Aurora. A The Senior Class was well-represented in extra-curricular activities. Wanda Bossong was editor of the Donovo and President of F. T. A. Louisa Schultz was editor of the Donogram and also President of the band. Larry Frye was President of the Student Council. Beta Club, Speech Association, and F.F. A. were led by Harold Loy. Bonnie Langellier guided the Pep Club through its first year. Gay Hertz success- fully led the F. H. A. through its 22nd year at D.H. S. Marsha Preisser was the success- ful leader of the Library Club. The second year of the D Club was presided over by Terry Gerber. Marsha Preisser and Wanda Bossong were elected to their third year as cheerleaders. Four seniors, Bill Boudreau, Paul Carlson, Larry Frye, and Vince Mar- tell, represented the class on the varsity basketball squad. Five senior boys lead the Wildcats to second place in the conference: Dave Askew, Bill Boudreau, Paul Carlson, Terry Gerber, and Vince Martell. The seniors on the track team were: Bill Boudreau, Paul Carlson, Larry Frye, Vince Martell, John McDonald, Richard'Munson, and Harold Loy, manager. Walking Down Wildcat Lane , the theme of 1967's Homecoming, was reigned by Queen Louisa Schultz with Barbara Arseneau and Cindy Cordes in her court. The class colors, yellow and white, and the yellow rose set the stage for May 29th's Graduation. A Greyhound bus took the seniors to Washington, D.C. on June the second.
