Basketball ended at Buckley-Loda this year, Wanda and Marsha gave their Wildcats' last cheer. And the end of the season gave reason to mince, For Larry and Paul - to Bill and to Vince. The National Merit Scholarship Tests about now, Started Juniors thinking of the future - And ljfow! Have HEA . .1 MARCH Did March come in like a lamb or a lion? Who had time to notice when all were tryin' To end the six weeks that particular day, And wish all good luck at the Sectional play. fs,,y , ,',,ttt,. , S, , T That came on the ninth after an assembly For Northern Illinois Gas. Girls started to get trembly, . , As they considered asking a boy to a dance. Beta's Sadie Hawkins left some boys in a trance. Their beautiful girls were dressed in such style, They pondered - should they laugh or just give them a smile? The Constitution test must be passed, No Senior wishes to be the last. Ran up the score at the Clifton-Central Tourney, On to the Regionals, for some a long journey. APRIL Ran and jumped and vaulted away, At Milford's track meet we were gay. Harbinger of spring and summer the same, On April the ninth the first baseball game. The six weeks ends before Good Friday, New sox for the boys, new hats for milady. Easter vacation is so lovely and cool, A And Seniors ponder the end of school. And the Senior play Space Ship Ahoy , Savoring the last few days with joy. Then melody sprang from room to room, And the big bass drum goes boom! boom! boom! The time of the concert was firmly fixed, In April, twas the night of the twenty-sikth. MAY Dance and sway, be very gay, Buy your gown, order a corsage, Wash your car out by the garage. Never such a night in all four years, Millions of smiles and a few little tears. Sooner than you know twas the last, last test, And someone you once shunned you now like best. Baccalaureate that strange solemn occasion, And graduation with great elation. The Senior class of sixty-eight, Thought their trip was really great, fn' '-' - ' f 9'ff'-i f The Junior-Senior Prom occurs in May. I But all is not over, the Seniors cry, g Up, up, and away and high in the sky . g
