FUREUJURD A if 4 As the curtain descends upon another school year, the Dragon presents for curtain calls the individuals and groups who have par- ticipated in the events of 1943-1944. It has been a year filled with lighter mo- ments of comedy and yet supplemented by the tragedy of parting with fellow classmates who have gone into the service. The Dragon attempts to encore the memor- able accomplishments of the school year.

HARRIS, Jr. Mr. Harris, as a member of the teaching staff, took many of us through the intricacies of biology, and as a Sophomore Home Room teacher helped us to become more familiar with the ways of Senior High School. Mr. Harris, as Principal, still has our best interests in mind and on occasion continues to instruct us in the ways of Senior High School. The patience, understanding, firmness and sense of humor so descriptive of him as a teacher are, fortunately for us, reflected in Mr. Harris, the Principal. What manner of man? A merrier man Within the limit of becoming mirth I never spent an hour's talk withal. A proper man as one shall see in a summer's day. He was ever precise in promise-keeping. He was wont to speak plain and to the purpose. 1
