Southern Lights Construction crews, truck loads of bricks, and buckets of roses on the way to Iacksonville could only mean that the Iuniors were preparing for the spring prom. This year's Ole South prom was held in Leone Cole Auditorium where the luniors con- structed a life size antebellum plantation, a brick garden fountain draped in roses, and an archway covered in greenery. The entertainment was by the super rock band from Tallahasse, Florida, Eli. This fantastic band gave an outstanding show complete with special effects and Cookie, the dyamnic lead vocalist. All the door-to-door light-bulb sales the Iuniors made paid off. The Class of '82 was able to give the Seniors the best graduation gift of all: a brilliant, ex- citing and memorable Prom. I I

A Classic Amidst a host of students in army garb and pajamas, parades with fire engines and convoys, and a dunking booth with ready and willing teachers, the true spirit of the Donoho campus came alive during Homecoming '81. The week really started rolling Thursday night with the annual skit night and bonfire. Those lovable pedagogues gave the most hilarious skit of the evening and the cheerleaders boosted the football team for Friday night's game with their rip-roaring cheers around the blazing inferno. Homecoming week reached its climax Friday night with the football team's victory over Spring Carden, the crowning of Nikki Messer as Queen, and the big dance after the game. The Seventh and Eighth grades jammed down to the beat of The Soul Survivor as the upper school rocked and rolled to the sounds of Kicks-106. Homecoming '81 - A CLASSIC.
