This hard -working group is the newly organized slide rule class. At the head of the table, Mr. Forest, the instructor, is giving some pointers to Dick Palmer. Other students shown are: Tuts Washburn, Jack Sargeant, Roy G. Turner, George Pearson, Walter Smith, Roy Hayes and George Edwin. Donna High School students, Fritzie Champion, Mike Arrington, and DeNell Curry examine a display of school rings and trophies in the main hall of the high school building. The Balfour Company of Corpus Christi is noted for fine quality in these items. Its book, THE BALFOUR STORY, which is displayed on the table, gives many interesting facts and illustra- tions about the production of school rings and trophies. .i
