We had looked eagerly forward to the day when we would be able to enter a new, modern high school and share the advantages offered to us by this, our own Donegal. We saw ourselves as sophomores. With the purchase of our class jackets, we were the Hrst to wear our school colors of green and white. The elected class officers were: james Shank, president, Ronnie jean Reese, vice-president, Betty Raffensper- ger, secretary, Pat Drace, treasurerg and Nancy Royer, historian. Through the efforts of each one of us, we completed a successful first year in a new high school. As juniors we were a class with much ambition. During this year we participated in many activities. For our financial security we sold candy. The big day finally came when we purchased our class rings. On March 9-10 we proudly presented the class play, Finders Creepers. The final project of the year was the junior-Senior Prom, and with this activity our second year of high school drew to a close. As seniors our first project was the farm show. Our class had charge of the ever popular hot dog and french fry food stand. At this farm show, Elaine Showalter was crowned Corn Queen. Wedding Spellsl' was the title of our Senior Play. Through the cooperation of the faculty and administration, we operated an after school snack bar. This year we sold assortments of candy to increase our treasury. During the month of March the political campaign was held. The Scotch and Irish parties were chosen. Each student took an active part in Youth Day in Government. Then, too, the seniors prepared the third issue of the Emerald which had Mary Ann Felty as its editor. Now plans are being made for our class trip, class day, Baccalaureate, and Commencement. It is with fond memories that we shall remember our years at Donegal. Suzanne Walters Historian if Offckew fcauhfza P. Weien, seeretayzj P, Mumper, hi5f0ffll7'l,' G. Zeller, president, L.
