Principal Dear Graduates, Yours is the tenth class to enter Bosco-Tech, and the seventh to graduate. You will now take your place with our other graduates in the field of industry or of higher technical education. The pace that these alumni have set and the achievements they have recorded are something of which we can all be proud, and stand as a challenge to you and to subsequent classes. In these days when we hear so much about schools pouring young men into the labor market unskilled and unprepared for the demands of the technological revolution grip- ping the industrial and business world today, and we learn that 57 percent of all men employed in 1956 will need re-training in 1970, it is most consoling to realize that neither of these tragic situations awaits you. The high level of training you have re- ceived not only equips you for a position, but assures you a quality and type of em- ployment that is vitally NECESSARY to our fast moving society, geared specifically to the trends of the space age, capable of weathering the storm winds of change blowing so fiercely through the world of work today. Moreover, the character formation and moral guidance that have accompanied such training will provide strength and en- lightenment as you face the problems of adult life. The qualities that your Alma Mater has endeavored to instill into you--devotion to duty, habits of hard work, respect for God's law and for those who share in His authority--coupled with academic and tech- nical proficiency, will bring you success and happiness in the life unfolding before you.
