Man has found in music an excellent means of praising his Creator. Today we see this plain- ly in the beautiful hymns sung at Mass and at other liturgical func- tions. The power of this great gift to lift the heart and mind of man makes it appropriate for this noble purpose. This same power makes music beneficial in recreational activity. It has the power, of itself, to enrich and ennoble. Delight af- forded by good music elevates the spirit.
