Various clubs welcome us, festive parties entertain us, and many new friends greet us warmly. Now we begin to choose different interests of our own. Some might be in the academic Helds: languages, science, or mathematics. Others may be in different school activities: Time Out, Schola, Choral, Veritas, G.A.A., Sodality, Confraternity. Still others may be in artistic skills: painting, sew- ing, weaving, or music. F rom observation and participation spring in- terests and we realize the value of good fellowship and co-operation, qualities that make us more interesting people. l23l

To Student Council Falls the Responsibility of School Leadership The members of our I-Iawaiianized' student council planned school activities and arranged such extraordinary surprises as the Halloween and Saint Patrick's treats. These girls added a happy note to the student body meetings with their gay skits, the subject matter of which ranged from a Peanuts for Polio plea to a short discourse on How to Handle a Library Book. The representatives of the classes, clubs and other D.C. organizations, under Barbara's direction, met once a month and, with the help ofthe revealing suggestion ibox, discussed student government affairs.
