In their study of the anatomy of vertebrates, Noreen Duffy, Joanne Aidala, and Linda Rohdieck took to the dissecting of fish and frogs. Lois Nickel, Patricia Reilly, and Teresa Pelitsch use viewer scopes to broaden their knowledge of bacteriology.

Patricia Deeley, Teresa Laraouso, Nancy Palmer, Maryellen Coleman, Patricia Pausha, Monica Gallagher, and Elaine Gallagher take daily timed writings to increase their speed and accuracy. As the standard of living mounts ever higher and as automation in offices and industry becomes evermore prevalent, the capable secretary becomes a prime neces- sity for successful management. To mould this capable secretary, to offer the business World the Kfinishedv stu- dent, Dominican presents a program of four years of special training. Against a backdrop of Christian thought and practice, bolstered by a Wide reading program, complexed by the study of history, challenged by math, the DCite pushed ahead with typewriting, stenography, and all -the skills of the modern secretary: telephone and telegram tech- niques, traveling arrangements, bookkeeping, employer's personal taxes, social amenities, mail, the handling of special typing problems, the mechanics of business let- ters. Surrounding these hovered the ever present, the omnipresent ideal: the cultured young lady-Well- groomed, Well-spoken, well-balanced.
