KATHERYNE MARGARET SIMMONS THERE is about Kathy an Alice-in-Wonderland quality, perhaps because of her long blond hair, or the whimsical expression which is often to be seen in her brown eyes. There is a good deal of seriousness beneath her usual gaiety and light-heartedness. She has markedly strong school spirit and gives herself generously in various campus activities. She is always abreast of the times, even to the latest fashions and colors, although she herself looks almost old-fashioned. She likes to discover new ways of doing things and is quick to accomplish any task, domestic or academic. Her manner is always pleasant. She is lively in conversation and her wide-eyed appreciation, whether she gets the point or not, is sure to make the prosperity of any jest. She whistles beautifully and loves to visit. 57
