Dominican College Of Blauvelt — Orangeburg, New York — e come to Dominican bringing with us ideas and attitudes we have internalized during the first twelve years of school. Here, howev- er, we find ourselves changing. We find our- selves, perhaps with- out meaning to, re- shaping our attitudes and discovering and refining new ideas. These ideas help shape us into people who are more intuitive- ly aware of the world. They allow us to see things more clearly and more realistically, so that we may view vistas which we will soon be a part of ina more detailed manner. (0) I Dedication......... What we form here will always be carried with us; even as we leave, we know that the ex- periences we have shared here will al- ways draw us togeth- er. These relation- ships will always be a part of our lives. Tes ence TL ER TLE a 10 | e come to Dominican with our own set of goals and ambitions for the future. Throughout our years here, we have learned things that have helped us ex- pand our hoirzons and refine our goals. We have learned how to interact with people in the business world, and how to maintain our dreams when we feel low or dejected. As we leave to begin work on our goals, we know that each of us, DOMINICAN COLLEGE CASEY HALL | in a unique way, has learned how to suc- ceed. HRSA RRERSHRAT 12 14 he years go by — perhaps, in retro- spect, a little too fast — and graduation ar- rives. The dream of becoming a nurse, a social worker, an ac- countant, a teacher — an educated adult — has at last come true. With it comes a feeling of accomplishment for the years spent in hard work, and a sense of fulfillment as the dream becomes a reality. , ge Sita “pe SE . Mg —q tye — DEDICATION The faculty at Dominican shares much more than formal education. They create an atmosphere of concern and caring. As students, we find ourselves treated as equals — as individuals with our own atti- _. tudes and feelings rather than merely as | products of their instruction. For every stu- _ dent, there has been a different teacher _ who has represented a special place in his life. For each one of us there has been _ someone who has helped us shape our _ lives, and who has made an impact upon _ who we are today. It is for this reason, that _ we, the graduating class of 1987, dedicate _ this yearbook to the entire faculty of Domi- _ nican College. We thank all of you for help- _ ing us become who we are. “erent Ht STULL 20 Sr. Mary Eileen O’Brien, O.P. Along the way, we forget that rou- tines are made to be broken. Suddenly, in the midst of our senior year, it dawns on us that the routine of school work is nearing an end. We begin to feel lost about working in the ‘‘real world’ and be- coming part of the fast working pace without our “‘security blanket’’. It will feel strange not having to worry about homework, tests, or papers any longer. Yet, as we get used to the challenge of a new routine, the security we once felt in school will eventually be felt again. ex ow. oo aw hy a6 HO SOR 28 Robert L. Abbate B.S.
