Reverend Edward Gorman, M.A. Superintendent of Diocesan School! Besides devoting himself unsparingly to keeping our schools at their highest possible efficiency throughout our grade and high school years, our diocesan Superintendent of Schools, Father Gorman, has been kind enough to mani- fest his interest in our welfare by encouraging the various projects we undertake. His presence at our modesty fashion show and his gracious words of encouragement on that occasion and since then have given us new courage in this enterprise, one of the campaigns undertaken by our Army of Youth. Le Tres Reverend Pere Antoine M. Lanoue, O.P. Priezzr der Dominimim qui est toujours le bon Pere sur qui 1'on pent compter pour une direction sage, prudente et eclairee.

Apastle af Wrist the King, Our Kishnp . . May Christ's words: 'Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, so I send you', be true for us and of our way of living each day of our life. May His prayer be illustrated by our deeds: Thy kingdom come, Thy will be doneg Forgive us as we forgive those who trespass against us. May our conscience, sensitive to all that the Lord has done for us, make us responsive to each day's opportunity of continuing the mission of Our Lord on earth . . . Let us never forget what we commemorate today. Our Lord is comeg He gives Himself to us. We receive Him reverently, this day, in Holy Communion. He is become part of us. He shares our nature. He has become like to us that He might make us in spirit and truth like unto Him. He has become our best Christmas gift to transform us, and to change us for 'the better . . . O wonderful exchange! the Creator of humankind, assuming the form of man, has lavished on us His Divinity, has given us to share in Him that we might give Him in return of ourselves. Let us not be slow to do our part. The world will be the better for it. Biilaop Connolly, sermon al Midnight Mast, 1951. Hit Excellency MOST REVEREND JAMES L. CONNOLLY, D. D., Ph. D. Bishop of Fall River

,-ar Iv Reverend Terence J. Sullivan, O.P. Also a Professor of Theology in Providence College, Father Sullivan began his monthly lessons for freshmen and sophomores in Decem- ber, to the delight of those undergrads. Cover- ing the most important religious topics in his lessons, he also took time to give clear and convincing answers to all questions submitted by his class. That's one period that never drags, say sophs, frosh. Reverend Vincent Ferrer McHenry, O.P. Professor of Theology in Providence Col- lege, Father McHenry came to Dominican the first Tuesday of each month to give expert advice to seniors and juniors on how best to use those powerful weapons of the Army of Christ, the Sacraments and prayer. The lively discussions that followed each month's lesson cleared up many important problems for us. Those Tuesday classes were highlights through- out the year. xg ,,,.... X. A v ,xp
