W arms The pastor is the center of UNITY in the parish. It is under his direction that as parishoners we form a united group, a family within the great family of the diocese and the still greater family of the Church. Like the Good Shepherd watching over His flock, our pastors patiently and untiringly work with us and for us. At Sunday Mass they unite us in the universal Sacrifice, they pray with us and explain the word of God, exhorting us to face with Christian courage the many problems of life. Consecrated and set apart as ministers of God to dispense His mercy to each one of us, our pastors are outstanding in their devotedness and their UNITY of purpose in turning all things to God. To them we owe all the gratitude we can show and all the cooperation we can offer. His Excellency MOST REVEREND .JAMES L. CONNOLLY, D.D. W Zwuffy Dear Seniors, It is a signally pleasant task for your Dominican faculty to grant your request for a message on UNITY for the 1951 DOMINILOC. From the very beginning of the present school year we have been glad witnesses of your success in working to- ward an ever greater UNITY of thought and endeavor in your own class and in the entire school. We were sincerely pleased that you adopted the practice which is becoming a custom in Dominican Acad- emy, that of choosing a theme which not only appears in the yearbook but also permeates the school life of the entire year. By so doing, you are reaching two worth- while goals instead of only one. While your yearbook is a storehouse of school memories, as any yearbook should be, it also contributes in a notable way to the general good of the school. Your teachers sincerely appreciate this assistance. We will always remember you for your outstanding cooperation and loyalty, and we will keep you in our prayers that you may continue to be a source of unity and harmony in whatever position you may occupy through life. Particularly we ask the blessing of God and His Blessed Mother, to whom you are so sincerely de- voted, that your home life may bear this stamp of unity, which is the key to happi- ness. if I .19 ' ,' ,, 1 f.- ll . fi Ms as it z I 1? fn 4 5 REV.
