He is the Pope of the lmmaculate Heart of Mary, receiving episcopal consecration on May l3, l9l7, the very day of the first apparition of Our Lady at Fatima. How fitting it is that it was he who, on All Saints, Day, l950. in answer to the appeals of millions of his spiritual children, proclaimed the Assump- tion of the Blessed Virgin Mary as a truth revealed by Cod to the Apostles, a dogma of the Holy Catholic Church. 7, N J ,X fr '-Elf Grateful that we are living witnesses of this proclamation, which demonstrated the infinite power of Cod, the unbounded intercessory power of our Heavenly Mother, and the LYNITY of the Church as her eight hundred million children in all lands gave willing assent to the dogma: grateful too that we will always he able to remember how this extraordinary event took place during our senior year. we join with Mary's loving children all over the world in rejoicing in this triumph of hers, and we consider ourselves privileged in dedi- cating to her our l95l D0llll.lIl-!Og.
