RADUATION'S coming soon! We thought we'd never gradu- 'bl ate back there in our Freshman year. Gosh, we'll miss high school. No more homework, no more rushing to Room 14 to get in before the bell. Remember how - Prof. Loucks used to jump when the P. A. system came on? Raffles--- : M magazines---hot dogs---candy---Senior Play. Those wonderful days in QP' K Washington and New York W that we thought we'd never see. We had 'iii' d one consola- tion--even though we might not see the lights of Broadway, ' we could at least qualify as high-pres- sure salesmen. The Christmas banquet Nxt g and 1950 so full of good cheer. Th M - ,Christmas decora- .ion contest---everything looked and smelled M M so nice! What fun we, T had on those jaunts to Utica to see the plays and visit the library! What songs we used to sing in double quartette- Mother Mavourneen and the others! I The bracing air of football games and our star guard, ' Mark Tyoe. Naturally, he was a Senior. September of '49 and our first Q .V real acquaintance with Prof. Loucks, our Senior homeroom teacher. gs, The Junior year under Miss Keidel. The prom--roses all over every thing! Everyone learning Q, g to make paper roses. Junior dances--year- Q book--social studies. x Cheerleading tryouts--getting chosen for the National Honor Society--BIG mom- Q ents for us. Even then graduation seemed a long way off. 5 ' Our Sophomore year in Study Hall. Poor Mr. Miller, ' our new home- room teacher, almost as bewildered as we about putting on a ....' school dance. Plaid shirts and blue jeans were the style at that period in our high school life, so we had a hobo dance. Q Q Our Fresh- 4 man year. We were so green! We s had finally made .. ff the upper hall. !Right from one graduation to prepare for another. But we'd :better stop reminiscing and start cramming for that English final We need those diplomas as firm stepping stones toward a bright and promising future. EX L ..
