Well after two pages, so far so good!! Page 2 is reserved for Dedications, to whom we worked to create this 1985 edition of REFLECTIONS, Pur- ple Reign . As Prince dedicated his movie PUR- PLE RAIN to his father, we include our parents in the dedication of Purple Reign . We first thank our moms and dads. For 18 years they have fed us, sheltered us, clothed us, yelled at us, and also taught us so much, and helped us whenever possible. For many of us, including your emotionally disturbed editors, we need our parents often; for support, when we are ready to fall; advice, when we are confused; kleenex when we cry, and money, whenever. We may never say it, but we do appreciate the attention. We now begin our own life, of adulthood, and we thank you for all the time, etc. you have spent getting us this far. We recognize two individuals who ended their year at Dodgeland this year as we did. We thank both of them for everything they gave Dodge- land. They have graduated with us. First of all, our faithful Dodgeland School Dis- trict secretary of seventeen years, Mrs. Tillema, who has graduated to retirement. How little do we know all that you have done for Dodgeland. You assisted for seventeen years in holding our school district together. May your future be ful- filling, and may your memories of Dodgeland always live with you. Our final Dedicatee is Mr. Ken Sina, Dodge- land's choral director for the past three years. How rarely we told you how much we appreciat- ed all you did. You taught us not only to sing, but also taught us to find so many emotions through music. You brought back musicals to Dodgeland. Not only did you make them work, but you made them meaningful (CAROUSEL) and fun (BYE BYE BIRDIE). We thank you for touching our lives, for being a bright light through the dark- ness, and for teaching us so much. Good luck in the future, wherever it leads you. The memories of you at DHS shall live on in our hearts. You shall never walk alone. We now present to you this Purple Reign edi- tion of 1985 REFLECTIONS.
