The Reflection Staff Of The 1982-83 School Year Dedicate Their Yearbook To Mrs. Elizabeth Brieman A smile, a helping hand, and a friendly hello all describe her well. What would our High School debate team be without the time and efforts of Mrs. Brieman? She has done an outstanding job. She has taught us the meaning of friendship, responsibility, but most of all knowledge. Mrs. Brieman has inspired all of us to set out goals high and to work hard in achieving them. Elizabeth Brieman, English Department Chairperson, debate coach, and forensic coach, has taught at the Dodgeland High School for twenty-one years. She graduated from Juneau High School in 1942. She obtained a Bachelor of Science of Education degree from UW-Oshkosh and has done further work in the master’s program. Mrs. Brieman has coached one-act plays, class plays, and originated the debate club in 1968. Throughout the years at Dodgeland she has taught courses in Mass Media, Play Production, American Novel, Nonfiction, Creative Writing, Composition for the Collegebound, Business English, American Literature, Language Skills, Play Acting, Project Recare-Reading, Modern Drama, Humanities and Independent Study-English. Mrs. Brieman has had the joy of seeing debaters excel in competition, forensic team members strive and achieve state awards, and student actors entertain audiences; but best of all, she has appreciated being one part of a learning partnership with students in her classes. For giving 21 years of her life to the Juneau and Dodgeland High School, we the yearbook staff, wish her good luck and happiness in the future. We would like to show our appreciation by dedicating our ’82-’83 yearbook to Mrs. Elizabeth Brieman. 2
