In Dedication The Dodgeland students of the 1961-62 school year dedicate their yearbook to Mr. Norman Dahl A reflection on his life: Mr. Dahl graduated from Shell Lake High School in 1936. He then a trended the college now known as UW-Eau Claire holding majors in math and science. He received his diploma in 1940. After teaching all subjects in a Stone Lake school, Mr. Dahl moved into a position teaching math at Ladysmith Junior High. This job lasted for one year. His service in the army began in June, 1942 and lasted for three years. He was stationed in the South Pacific until November, 1945. In January 1946, Mr. Dahl went to UW-Madison to receive a Master's Degree in philosophy and school administration. In September 1946. he began teaching at Ju- neau High School. He also furthered his educa- tion by attending summer sessions in 1959, 1977, and 1976 at the University of Buffalo and UW- River Falls. He received his Masters Degree in math in 1965. Mr. Dahl was also on the WIAA Board of Controls for several years. He served as president from 1970-71. Mr. Norman Dohl A reflection on his career at Dodgeland: Mr. Dahl began reaching at Juneau High School, which later became Dodgeland High School, in September of 1946. He taught classes in math, general science, chemistry, and physics. He also coached football, basketball, and base- ball until 1954, when he became principal. While principal, he taught one math class. In 1971, he went back to the classroom to teach math classes. After giving 36 years of his life to the Juneau and Dodgeland High Schools, Mt. Dahl has decided to retire. We, the students of D.H.S., would like to wish him happiness and good luck in his retire- ment. We would also like to show our apprecia- tion by dedicating the 1961-62 yearbook to Mr. Norman Dahl. 2 Dedication
