BACK ROW: Paul Wyss, Mgr.; John Richards, Dick Evans, Andy Hartman, Terry Hodgeson, Andy Korth, Kevin Babcock, Ken Puls, Mr. Mueller, Coach. The Frosh record was 5 wins and 7 losses. The team improved greatly on of- fense and defense as the season progress- ed by winning the last 4 out of 6 games. Junior Varsity Improves FRONT ROW: Dale Rennhack, Eloy Gaitan, Russ Soldner, Dennis Neuberger, Terry Schulz, Randy Pieper, George Grosenick, Rick Kuntz, Wayne Breitbarth. BACK ROW: Bill Slade, Mgr.; Randy Radtke, Mgr.; John Rediske, Steven Edwards, Dennis Bergmann, Ken Wolfram, Richard Aschaker, Jeff Niehoff, Kent Saugstad, Mr. Larson, Coach. The junior varsity squad compiled a season record of 8 wins and 10 loss- es. Inconsistency, turnovers, and poor shooting were the key factors in either the wins or losses, as the team beat some very good squads and lost to some very poor teams. Wrestlers Took A Conference Third FRONT ROW: Dean Henkel, Ed Scott, Jim Cook, Bill Cook, Delaine Kottwitz, Mike Maertz, Mike Hendricks. BACK ROW: Rodney Alvarado, Mgr.; Tim Sharkey, Randal Woltman, Steve Bronner, Steve Leistico, Scott Single- tary, Dave Henkel, Mr. Sharp, Coach. Although the Trojan wrestlers did not end up in the second place goal that Mr. Sharp set for us, it was a very successful season. Mike Maertz came out far ahead of the rest of the wrestlers with the Most Valuable Wrestler Award. Mike had the most takedowns, 28, followed by Tim Sharkey with 24, and Steve Bronner with 22. Most wins put Mike with 25 and Tim with 18. Mike also came through with most pins at 24, followed by Delaine Kottwitz at 16 and Steve Bronner and Tim Sharkey at 12. Delaine Kottwitz had tied a state record for the fastest pin at six seconds and had the next best time at:16 seconds.
