Ii. or Distribu- tive Education Club are already getting a head start in the world of business. These ambitious students arrive at school at 8 o'clock in the morning to get in extra time for learning about the three R's : then they spend the after- noon workinq downtown. Due to the wide interest in IJ. li.. it has been divided into two clubs: the A. B. Cole- man D. E. Club and the Dobyns- Bennett D. E. Club. Broadcasting Club Started here last year, the Broad casting Club became popular at once. This year the members gave the announcements throughout the day over the public address system. On Mondays from until 6:00 P. M., WKPT features D.-B. students on Teenage Terrace. Along with the regulars on the show, other members appear on the air. These student disc jockeys play the latest records with dedications. Since the club doesn't have a regulai day for meetings, they get together when the need arises. Their able sponsor is Nil Earl Jordan. Library Club The girls you see in the library. busily arranging books and stamping them, are all members of the Library C'lub. Sponsored by Mrs. lVhitney. they learn to better use these facilities and help others to use them. By working in the library, they gain valuable experience in meeting and dealing with people. If a girl is planning a career as a librarian, she will learn there are many problems in- volved in managing so many books, keeping records, and collecting fines. We students should thank these club members for making our use of the library easier and more profitable. JCL members. Betsy Griffith.
