Dickey. arsity Basketball This year's Eagles basketball squad, coached by Mr. Kohl, bounded through their 1958-1959 season with an impressive .10-2 league record and tied with Ards- ley and Hendrick Hudson for the Western West- chester League Championship. Sparked by the fine ball handling of the Three Gs, George Graham, Babe Grande and Dave Gifford, and the good defen- sive play of the other members of the squad, the Eagles remained at the top of the league through their first eight league games. However, in meeting Ardsley and Hendrick Hudson for the second en- counter of the season, the Eagles fell to the opposi- tion and were consequently involved in a three way tie with these two squads for the championship. Undaunted, the Eagles moved into the Section 1, Class C Tournament where they came out the victors, beating Brewster, Hendrick Hudson and Carmel in succession.
