The highlight of Homecoming was the victory over Ot- tawa. The fans' spirit was not dampened by the rain, but certain last minute changes were made. Halftime was postponed until after the game and held in Lancaster Gym. The Dixon High School Marching Band opened the festivi- ties. They were joined by the Jazz Show Choir, who per- formed the popular Movin’ On Up. The program came to a close with songs performed by the band Looker. Mandy Hull is to be accredited with the success of the 1983 Homecoming Halftime. The students participated in Spirit Week by suiting their attire to the theme of the day. Purple and White Day was modified to Toga Day by many upperclassmen. The week came to a climactic conclusion with the Homecom- ing Dance held on Saturday night at the Masonic Temple. Homecoming 5
