mr. manning’s first effort at dhs is our town ed on the DHS stage on November 16 and 17. Mr DeVoe Manning, new to DHS, direct- ed the play as his first production. Jim Edwards, acting as the stage manager, spoke directly to the audience to help visu- alize the setting. On stage, scenery was kept to a minimum, allowing the play to speak by itself. Our Town is centered around two New England families, the Gibbs and the Webbs, whose lives reflect ours. Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs, played by Chuck Miller and Liz Slain, are the parents of George and Rebecca, played by Greg Spees and Cindy Eridley. Their neighbors, the Webbs, played by Gary James and Sara Heckman have two children who were played by Petra Rusev and Jim Donaldson. Many other players helped to complete the cast. Hard work and long rehearsals of the cast and crews helped bring another suc- cess to the DHS stage. fall play 5
