Not know- ing what you had to offer, we listened to you spellbound during our first lesson. In a proud and reverent manner, you presented our gov- ernment to us. With . the greatest precision you etched the pattern ofdemocracy upon our minds. Some of us were not always eager to learn, but with great patience, you overcame our weak barriers. Through supplementary work, you stimulated our interest in state and local affairs. Inv your classes we developed new awareness of world problems. We could foresee the possible crises we would have to face in the future. From your instruction we received the materials with which we can give everlasting strength to our way of life.
