President Vice President President Vice President Sec Treas SENIORS JUNIORS Dick Sink Betty Fane Bob Ashford Ron French Sabrci Stewart President Vice President President Vice President Sec Treas Merle Pitman anet Newcomer im Schroeder Dave Thomas Dick Thomas JUST MADE IT Remember September sixth T949 when T93 scared but eager freshmen entered DHS? Cn October seventh they were initiated by wearing green ribbons braids rolled pantlegs and mismatched socks after which they were officially the class of 53. That first year they elected ack Munson president, ack Sitter vice-president, and im Warren secretary-treasurer. These freshmen were also represented in athletics when thirty boys went out for football and twenty-five for basketball. As sophomores they elected class officers as follows: Bob Hummel as president, Bill Anderson vice-president, and im Gorman secretary-treasurer. The class was again making themselves known in athletics and other activities as well as being represented by a large number on the honor roll each quarter. Finally they were upperclassmen. As juniors they became eligible for the Dixini, Footlighters Quill and Scroll and Thespians. Class officers were president, im Gorman, vice-president ack Munson, and secretary-treasurer Loreata McDonald. This year also brought the long awaited and long to be remembered unior-Senior prom wit the theme being 'Out of This World. Now in their last year at DHS thoughts of the yearxs happenings come to mind in between plans for graduation, the prom, and the future. Homecoming with Queen Barbara Buckley and attend- ants Betty Fane and oan Bennett and all the other good times are remembered. Class officers are Richard Sink president, Betty Fane vice-president, and Steve Lindell, secretary-treasurer. Now the senior class of 53 will bid adieu To all their underclassmen and their teachers too. Quite often we'll look back again to the good old days H And think of those we met in classes and those we saw in plays. OF those upon the football field and those in basketball and track And then l'm sure we will wish that we could all come back. 21 CLASS OFFICERS igg if Sec.-Treas. -, 'Steve Lindell Sec.-Treas. I.
