It is only one room yet the twelve families in Dixon are exceedingly proud of it because it represents a large step toward further civil- ization, and because it is the jirst school in Dixon. The students studying from their slates are proud of their new sehool. There is the feeling of pride in the school room which is shown by the fare with whieh they use their limited equipment. Time passes swiftly on and fares come and go. The cnrtainfalls.
