Many duties must be performed by the House of Representatives, and as usual, each duty must be performed with the welfarf' and betterment of the school in mind. Among the duties of the House of Representatives are the assraninq of orqani- zatrons to decorate windows for certain holidays. The House assrans organizations to do this because it feels that the spirit of the holidays is better understood and enjoyed by the student if there is somethina in the halls to remind them of it, Thr- House wishes to thank each orqanization for its cooperation in makinq the halls aay for the holidays. The House did its part by decoratinq a window along with the Sffnato for St. Patricks Day. Next in line :or the House was the Christmas Party. Much work went with this party. The House bought and sacked candy and wrapped the arfts that each student brings as his admission price to the party. The qifts were sent as Christ mas presents to an orphanage in Sacramento. Elections were handled by the House with utmost efficiency and the House would like to congratulate each new officer of the student body for next year. The House prepared a handbook about the school to he given to each Fresh- man at the start of next year. The biqaest event of the year for the House was the school lloat for the Dixon May Fair. This is one of the busiest times of the year for every student, but the members of the House gave up their time and put much effort into makina a float cf which Dixon Hiqh School was very proud.
