L 1 L ll ll 1 J Front row-Lyon, Hissey, H. Kilkenny, E. Leathers, Daw son, Webb, Morgan, J. Larson, Madden, Behrman, Bem Middle row-Pritchard, Mack, E. Kilkenny, Cecil, Mar- vin, E. Larson, McKenzie, Mrs. Bloom, Bruhn, Jacobs Rohwer, K. Leathers. Back row-Hopkins, Kunze, Dia reito, Wilson, Ritchey, Seifert, Rossi, Thomson, G Leathers, Ferguson. ln I936 our band joined the Parade of Knowledge with 40 members. Our music may have been sour, but our lines were kept straight by Drum Major Mrs. Bloom. Edward Seifert was the president of our organization and was ably assisted by Eugene Crompton, Barbara McKenzie and Jack Reichel. Specialty numbers which we played were Colonel Crow's Amateur Hour and St. Patrick's Dance . Our band now moved up from the fourth to the third section of the parade. Vincent Rossi, with the help of Marian Madden, Otto Bruhn and Russell Rohwer, saw that we played our pieces well. Featured in our repertoire that year were Barn Dance and Carnival . After much practice we were able to give a pleasing rendition of these numbers. As we entered Section I I of the parade, we gladly accepted the title upper classmen . ln our new uniforms we looked grand and our music, under direction of Barbara McKenzie, Edward Seifert, Marian Madden and Otto Bruhn was strong and harmonizing. We all practiced especially hard that year, for we had three solo numbers to do. They were en- titled, Carnival , Junior Prom , and Senior Banquet . At last, we reached Section l, that important spot in the parade. Our Senior flag bearers were Gordon Leathers, Jane Lyon and Russell Rohwer. Among the selections we played this yeor were A Hallowe en Party , The Snow Trip , A Trip to the City , The Senior Play and Graduation . So amid the crash of the cymbals, the Bond of '39 marches out of sight to join those who have gone before us into the Parade of Life . V X
