as King and Queen Candidates: John Copier, Creta Rassmussen, Clark Sullivan, Sue Hafen, Kim Hartvigsen, Sharon McArthur, Fred Kamper, Rexine McAllister, Jerry Alldredge and Jeri Matthews. QWEETHEAPTS' BA!! The Sweethearts Ball was held Saturday, Feb. 14, in the Fifth and Sixth ward chapel. Lambda Delta Sigma Sorority and Sigma Gamma Chi Fra- ternity sponsored the formal dance which was directed by Montrue Larkin and Wendall Grey. The King and Queen can- didates then danced Royalty waltz after which the King and Queen were presented, Kim Hartvigsen was chosen King with Rexine McAllister, Queen. This dance was very success- ful and will be a dance we'll never forget. The Candidate Dance Terry Stout and Jana Jackson sing The Look of Love at Sweethearts Ball. Ili

THE SWEETHEART'S BALL Dixie has always been a school of young sweethearts. Every year they are honored at a special dance given for them by Sigma Gamma Chi. This year, the Sweefheart's Ball, as always, was a success. Under the theme, The Look of Love, couples danced into the morning hours oblivious of the world outside. Reigning over the Ball were King Kim Harivigsen and Queen Rexine McCallister. The event will long be remembered by the sweethearts who attended if. .L -,ff KF.,

WOMENS' WEE K Footsteps in the Sand of Time. Women have taken over the campus for one week from Jan. 'l7 until Jan. 27. Women's Week, is sponsored and directed by the A.W.S. Council under Jeon Bundy, President. The weeks activities began with a Girl Tea and a Fashion Show, and a Daddy Date. The following ac- tivities were carriecl out during the week: all girl fireside, and girl picnic, ci roller skating party, a 6 man panel, Powder Puff basketball game, ct stomp dance. The week ended with the climatic of the Preference Ball, at this time the most preferred sophomore, Larry Hall, and most preferred freshman, Ron Littlefield were an- nounced. This dance will long be remembered.
