E 12:5 1 e K ., - One of the more successful of our gridiron ventures, the Dixie Grey- hounds emerged victorious at the Seventy homecoming game against the Blazers of National Trails. The afternoon started with the crowning of Queen, Cheryl McQueen and King. Mike Moore. The royal occasion would not have been complete with- out a court to cornplirnent the queen. Her ladies-in-waiting were Seniors Joanne Gearhart and Reda Mclntoshg junior, Bev Leisg Sophomore, Betty I-laleg and Freshman, Pat Putterbaugh. The King's courtiers were Seniors, Bill Dextlinger and David Stamperg junior, Roger Burchettg Sophomore, Wayne Siglerg and Freshman, Garry Moore. .The regal occasion was con- cluded Frith a dance entitled Pig- skin and Velvet, with the King and Queen reigning.

election time comes to dixie As guest speakers honored to have the repre- sentative from the Ohio State Legislature, David Albritton, and the world- renowned track star, jesse Owens. Amidst reminis- cences and humorous anecdotes, Mr. Owens discussed today's youth and the large role we, as Dixie students, must some day assume in the world. The program concluded with many Dixie student athletes meeting and talking with Mr. Owens.
