THEME EIIJR EHALLENEE GUARD EHERISH M-Kg'l's VVe, the senior Class of 1946, feel that a challenge awaits us as we leave high school and graduate into a world of competition The worlcl has been torn by war and strife for so many years that we. as the first peace-time graduating class, may tremble a little at the problems we will have to face and to solve. lo the best of our ability, for ourselves and our posterity. Our theme is intended to portray the change from war to peace, ancl l'o eniiven our memories so that we may not forget the war-lorn years and the boys who gave their lives to safeguard our future. Dixie's goId-star boys are George VViIson, John Nlorris, Cecil Coins. Roy Plymesser, Henry Cole, and Ralph Duffie. They had faith in our ahilily to guard and to cherish world peace and they entrust us with that task. VVe shall accept this challenge and shall never forget these boys as we go forth. armed with our education and our love of peace. lo meet the challenge. ll is our earnest intention to attack it bravely and never to doubt the wires or the ultimate. outcome.
