Dear Graduates: The Graduating Class of 1976 is a true representative of our nation, our community, and our school. The members of this class have exhibited during their stay at this school a spirit of sensitivity to the feelings of others. On the athletic field, on the stage and in the classrooms, this class has given its all and has far surpassed everyone’s expectations. The legacy they leave is not only a continuation of the great traditions of the past but also a contribution of change and modification of existing social activities. In the spirit of the Bi- centennial year, members of the senior class visited Valley Forge, Washington, Philadelphia and many other historic land- marks. Their revamping of the Senior Carnival, and the re- institution of an active student government, the Senior Variety Show, the Prom and the Post-Prom party are activities which will be long remembered and cherished by the members of this class. Although their senior year got off to a rather interesting start, I am pleased to see that the seniors rose to the occasion, met their responsibilities, made significant contributions to our school and blazed new trails for others to follow. As they leave Division Avenue High School, they will always be remembered by the administration, the faculty and the student body as the one and only Bi-centennial Class of 1976. Sincerely, Patrick B. Walsh 21
