These well educated and informed men and women were the members of our school board. Mr. Eli Mellan, a most experienced and witty president, conducted these gatherings which often lasted until the wee hours of the morn- mg. Our school board serves a vital purpose be- cause it unites the community and educational system. Its decisions and guidance aid parents, teachers and students throughout our school lives. Much appreciation and recognition is ex- tended to the District 9995 Board of Education.
