I-lomeroom 3l6 - First Week Mr. Gielow and Mr. Car ney anticipate an enthusi new gym. This is the beautiful 540,000 dream home that was the prize in the Home and School Ass'n's jingle contest to raise funds for an auditorium and gym. Homeroom 3lB - Week Second A beautiful ranch style home located on l00th and Grantosa Blvd. was the Wonderful award given to a lucky Winner in the Home and School jingle contest to raise money for a new gym and auditorium. Throughout the year, students, and Home and School mem- bers canvassed virtually every neighborhood in the city, selling the jingle tickets. Although the contest began early in the school year, Febru- ary l marked the date of the official kickoff. A parade of decor- ated cars travelled throughout the city, informing all of our big contest. Here at school, a pep rally was held to help everyone to get the spirit. After February l, it was every homeroom for itself in a fight to the finish for the highest in ticket sales. At the end of each Week the highest home- room Was given a banner of congratulations, and the losing homeroom received a black crepe sym- bolizing the death of their spirit. Great assistance and leadership was given in the project by a board of interested men and Women, captained by Home and School president William Carney.
